COGNNA, a Saudi Arabia-based cybersecurity startup driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), announced that it has successfully raised $9.2 million in a Series A funding round. This strategic move is aimed at accelerating the company’s global expansion plans and significantly enhancing its AI capabilities.
The funding round was led by Impact46, co-led by BNVT Capital, and saw participation from Vision Ventures and Tali Ventures. This significant investment underscores the growing confidence in COGNNA’s innovative approach to tackling the rising tide of sophisticated cyber threats.

He added that the funding will allow the company to "accelerate our R&D in AI and automation, scale globally, and continue delivering security that learns, adapts, and protects in real time.”
Investment and Expansion Plans
The $9.2 million investment will be strategically allocated across four key areas:
- Product Development: Advancing AI automation and enhancing platform scalability.
- Sales and Marketing: Strengthening market presence across the MENA region and initiating entry into global markets.
- Team Expansion: Growing engineering and SOC operations teams to meet the rising demand.
- Operations: Building the necessary infrastructure to support global scalability and operational resilience.
It is worth noting that COGNNA previously closed its Seed round in 2023, securing $2.25 million, which was also led by Impact46, with participation from Vision Ventures, Faith Capital, and other investors.
As cyber threats continue to escalate globally, COGNNA is positioning itself as a global player delivering high-impact, AI-led protection across various markets.
