Admin Admin September 1, 2026

Alaan, the UAE-based B2B fintech company, successfully raised $48 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Peak XV Partners and included participation from other firms such as 885 Capital, Y Combinator, 468 Capital, Pioneer Fund, as well as notable angel investors like Tabby and Careem.

Founded in 2022 by Parthi Duraisamy and Karun Kurien, Alaan specializes in AI-powered spend management solutions for the Middle East and North Africa.

The company has developed a comprehensive platform for managing corporate expenses with seamless integration to local banking systems, featuring real-time expense tracking supported by artificial intelligence.

Alaan demonstrated its success by expanding its services into the Saudi market this year, about two years after its initial funding round, which raised approximately $4.5 million with backing from Presight Capital, Y Combinator, and angel investors.

The company plans to use the funds raised in the latest round to enter new markets across the Middle East and North Africa, improve its products, and strengthen its position in the fintech sector.
