Ovasave Raises $1.2M to Expand Fertility and Hormonal Health Platform Across the GCC
UAE-based femtech startup Ovasave, backed by Abu Dhabi’s Hub71, has raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by PlusVC, Annex Investments, and 25 Madison, with participation from strategic angel investors and family offices in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Founded in 2023 by Majd Abu Zant and Torkia Mahloul, Ovasave offers a digital-first platform for fertility and hormonal health, providing at-home hormone testing, virtual consultations, personalized supplement protocols, and egg freezing support. The company also partners with corporates to integrate fertility care into employee wellbeing programs.
The funding will support Ovasave’s expansion into Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, scale corporate partnerships, and fund the next phase of its mobile app, which will include menstrual tracking, symptom monitoring, care access, and AI-driven treatment protocols.
Ovasave highlighted that the UAE’s healthcare reforms and women’s rights initiatives provide a supportive environment for femtech innovation.
Majd Abu Zant noted that Abu Dhabi’s regulatory framework and support from Hub71 have enabled Ovasave to access capital and regional networks to build impactful ventures and scale across MENA.
Torkia Mahloul, co-founder and CEO, stated that the funding marks a significant step in expanding access to fertility and hormonal care across the region, aiming to shift women’s health from reactive to preventive, reduce costs, improve outcomes, and normalize conversations around reproductive health.
Ovasave has also embedded public education in its mission, running awareness campaigns such as the “Fertility Your Way” campaign with Merck Gulf, which provided free AMH screenings to over 500 women in the UAE, alongside partnerships with Aldar, Boston Consulting Group, and WeWork to raise workplace fertility awareness.
Following this funding round, Ovasave plans to launch its operations in Saudi Arabia this summer, as part of its three-year regional expansion strategy, amid growing investor interest in women’s health and fertility innovation across the MENA region.
