Aramco's Prosperity7 Leads $100 Million Funding Round in US AI Infrastructure Company TensorWave

Prosperity7, the investment arm of Saudi Aramco, led a Series A funding round for US-based startup TensorWave, which specializes in building AI infrastructure, with a significant investment of $100 million.

TensorWave, headquartered in Las Vegas, is a leading company in building scalable AI hardware clusters. The company relies on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) from AMD to power large and more complex AI models.

This investment aims to accelerate TensorWave's plans to deploy a massive training cluster comprising 8,192 AMD Instinct MI325X GPUs, enabling it to build a supercomputer dedicated to training advanced AI models.

This move underscores a growing shift in the strategy of Gulf investors, including Prosperity7, towards not just consuming AI technologies and products, but investing in the core infrastructure that enables these technologies to exist and grow. This trend reflects a desire to own a part of the future of AI-specific computing amidst increasing global demand for such capabilities.

Participating in the funding round alongside Prosperity7 were Magnetar, AMD Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and Maverick Silicon, reinforcing TensorWave's position and its ability to compete in the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure market.
