Invest in Saudi Arabia - Health Sector – Blood collection company

Blood collection company

Investment Description

The government of Saudi Arabia has determined that plasma should be produced in the country. To achieve this, LFB Arabia was formed as National Champion Company (PlasmaCo) through a partnership between Healthcare Development Holding and LFB.

The Ministry of Health will purchase 100% of its demand from LFB and will to provide the raw material input (plasma). The planned plasma plants, however, will require a national blood collection company (BloodCo). Since plasma plants have been identified by MOH as a fast-track opportunity to be implemented in the first wave of projects, there is an immediate opportunity to establish a national blood collection company to be in operation prior to construction of a plasma plant, leveraging private sector investment and partnerships to draw from international expertise.

The Ministry of Health will purchase 100% of its demand from LFB and will to provide the raw material input (plasma).
